We are a small software company based in Canada, and we love Commodore Computers.
Our love for Commodore computers is based partly on the nostalgia of our youth, but we also have a vision for their present, continued, future and ongoing use. That vision involves a mix of authentically original hardware, with a healthy relationship to new and innovative hardware expansions that the creators of these machines designed them to be able to use.
Our focus is on the commercial development of systems, productivity and lifestyle software for Commodore 8-bit home computers.

Origin story and flagship product
C64 OS is our flagship product. It was originally conceived of, designed and programmed by one person. But it doesn't make sense to sell a commercial product off the side of the desk of a single individual. Selling a product entails: legal licensing agreements, sales tax collection and submission, income tax accounting, liability, branding, advertising, copyright and trademark protection, and much more.
OpCoders Inc. was founded to help bring C64 OS to life. But C64 OS is only the beginning. It lays the groundwork for a new generation of productivity and lifestyle software for the Commodore 64.
What's in a name?
Commodore 8-bit computers are based upon the 6502 family of microprocessors, and our software development is primarily focused on 6502 assembly language programming. Microprocessors execute instructions, which come in a variety of addressing modes. Every instruction has one opcode for each of its supported addressing modes.
We are coders who live, breathe and work at this level of development.
Hence the name, we are OpCoders.
Our commitment
We are committed to producing, selling and supporting top-notch software for Commodore 8-bit computers. We know that the market is small, but we will keep our expenses low in order to maintain resilience and keep our doors open. For as long as we are able, and as long as there is someone making purchases, we will continue to develop for and sell to this market.
Our goal is to grow the Commodore 8-bit market. We will do this through new innovative ways to provide value to Commodore users, via new software products and online services that enhance the usefulness of add-on and expansion hardware.
Partnership Opportunities
We are eager to form partnerships with existing developers and hardware manufacturers. We are particularly interested in forming hardware/software distribution bundles, consisting of C64 OS + SD2IEC + Mouse Solution, and other similar collections.
